I just love Nola! We went there for our 20th anniversary...it was wonderful. I can't remember the hotel we stayed at but I really think it might have been the Frenchman too. I remember walking down to Cafe DuMonde on the day we left and getting one last dose of some chicory coffee and beignets. YUM! Hopefully you got to see all the sights but more importantly that you ate all the good food!
